4:19 Solomon also made these items for God’s temple: the gold altar, the tables on which the Bread of the Presence ¹  was kept,

34:2 He did what the Lord approved ²  and followed in his ancestor David’s footsteps; ³  he did not deviate to the right or the left.

[4:19]  ¹ tn Heb “the bread of the face/presence.”

[4:19]  sn This bread offered to God was viewed as a perpetual offering to God. See Lev 24:5-9.

[34:2]  ² tn Heb “he did what was proper in the eyes of the Lord.”
